Role Summary:
As a Field-Service Engineer - Lead, this position is responsible for enterprise standardization of Audio Visual (AV) programming for integrated rooms. The incumbent in this position will play an active role in the program implementation of small to large-scale AV systems which include: video teleconferencing, audio teleconferencing, analog/digital video switching systems, sound systems, lighting, and displays

Responsibilities:

  • Onsite programming of control systems and digital signal audio processors (DSP). Systems will range from Crestron, AMX, Extron, SP Controls, Biamp, Clearone, Vortex, Soundstucture, and Soundweb.
  • Remote programming, working with technicians out in the field to load programs, test, and commission system. Using remote PC software such as Webex, Logmein, or VNC.
  • Performing in shop system testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT) before equipment is leaving the shop. Creating testing documentation for FAT.
  • Software troubleshooting, working with technicians in the field to commission systems and customer turnover
  • Working with project management team in project close out, preforming site acceptance test (SAT)

· Participate in documenting and maintaining operations, network development, and maintenance processes and procedures.

· Participate in engineering and project reviews providing critical analysis comments.

· Existing program maintenance, system upgrades, and programming refresh to existing systems.

· Maintain program version control and adhere to configuration management.

· Creation and maintenance of archived programs on server or share point.

Professional Skills and Abilities:

  • Must work with the engineering staff to develop and maintain network requirements, architectures, and designs.
  • Ability to follow company standardization of graphical user interfaces (GUI) that will be implemented on projects out in the field.
  • Must be able to work with end-users to customize GUI layouts to their specification based on Kinly scope of work.
  • Must understand how AMX and Crestron programming cause/effect impacts to the overall audio visual systems.
  • Must be able to establish templates, and program to intuitive user interfaces.

Education/Certification:

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field a plus

· Crestron and AMX Certified Programmer

· Crestron DM Certification

· Clear One and Biamp Certification

· Infocomm CTS
