Overview

The role of the UC Project Manager is to plan, execute and finalise complex UC projects. In addition, the successful candidate must have experience in delivering standard AV / VC integrated solutions.

All projects must be delivered according to deadlines, and the project must stay within budget. This includes co-ordinating resources, team members efforts and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

The Project Manager will also be required to produce project plans where appropriate, as well as project initiation documents and will be responsible for on-site health & safety.

Responsibilities

  • Set achievable project acceptance criteria in conjunction with other teams and clients.
  • Produce Scope of Works & Project Initiation documents where appropriate.
  • Approve cost sheets prior to order for assigned projects.
  • Product installation project plans where appropriate.
  • Produce method statements and risk assessments.
  • Produce necessary drawings where appropriate.
  • Product Operation & Maintenance documents where appropriate.
  • Work with Admin staff and Management to complete projects on time, in budget and to the required standard.
  • Contractual Quality and Health & Safety for all projects including method statements and risk assessments Management of on-site work teams – both internal and contractor staff.
  • Work with external project managers and third party contractors on integration solutions of re-fits and new-build projects.
  • On-site installation, programming and commissioning of all hardware products and software controlled hardware solutions.
  • Provide user training for deployed solutions where applicable.
  • Continual on-site quality control, leading to a successful customer sign-off against project acceptance criteria.
  • The financial performance and reporting of all projects, including managing financial performance through SAP.

Skills required

  • Prior experience of working on infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of unified communications, video conferencing, networks and IT infrastructure
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong and Proven Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good client facing skills and commercial acumen
  • Excellent understanding of Risk, Demand and Problem management and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Well organized with good attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Prince 2 qualification or equivalent.
