Team Lead Smart Monitoring

We are looking for a hands-on Team Lead to strengthen our teams in Amsterdam, Livingston, or Oslo. The successful candidate for this role will receive an outstanding opportunity to enhance our Kinly Smart Services offering and take part in deliver proactive intelligent diagnostic information to service teams and enhanced insight and reporting to customers. This role will lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver an unique value proposition at the core of Kinly’s service innovation and business strategy.

As a Team Lead you:

  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver specific product and integration requirements in an Agile way;
  • Coach and onboard new team members;
  • Ensure the team follows all company standards;
  • Facilitate consensus on technical discussions;
  • Deliver value in the form of a working code;
  • Keep the overall quality of your teams high, both passively (e.g., by incorporating unit tests as part of their delivery) and actively (e.g., tracking and suppressing technical debt);
  • Challenge the Product Owners;
  • Deploy and operate your topic (you build it, you run it).

What do you bring?

  • At least 7 years of experience with software engineering, including design, development, and deployment of software products;
  • At least 3 years of experience as a team leader/hands-on Engineering Manager;
  • Able to inspire and provide feedback in a constructive way to others so that the whole team can continuously improve their skills and abilities;
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles and at least basic understanding of functional programming;
  • Understand foundation of Domain Driven Design especially on the strategic level (design of bounded contexts and relations between them);
  • DevOps acumen – including cloud management, Kubernetes, Docker etc.;
  • Experienced in delivering high diligence solutions that are well tested in an automatic way.
