OVERVIEW

The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute and finalise AV / VC integrated solutions projects according to deadlines and ensuring the project stays within budget. This includes co-ordinating resources, team members efforts and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also be required to produce project plans where appropriate, as well as project initiation documents and will be responsible for on-site health & safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Set achievable project acceptance criteria in conjunction with other teams and clients.
  2. Produce Scope of Works & Project Initiation documents where appropriate.
  3. Approve cost sheets prior to order for assigned projects.
  4. Product installation project plans where appropriate.
  5. Produce method statements and risk assessments.
  6. Produce necessary drawings where appropriate.
  7. Product Operation & Maintenance documents where appropriate.
  8. Work with Admin staff and Management to complete projects on time, in budget and to the required standard.
  9. Responsibility for on-site Health & Safety.
  10. Management of on-site work teams – both internal and contractor staff.
  11. Work with external project managers and third-party contractors on integration solutions of re-fits and new-build projects.
  12. On-site installation, programming and commissioning of all hardware products and software controlled hardware solutions.
  13. Provide user training on AV & VC systems.
  14. Continual on-site quality control, leading to a successful customer sign-off against project acceptance criteria.
  15. Complete JIP time records.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  1. AV Project Management experience.
  2. Prince 2 qualification or equivalent.
  3. Ability to manage multiple projects
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  5. Well organized with good attention to detail
  6. Proficient in the use of Word & Excel.
